Train services across Essex are facing severe delays this morning.
Greater Anglia has confirmed that the delays have been caused by a signal failure between Stratford and Liverpool Street.
Due to the incident, all lines between theses stations will run at a reduced speed and delays are expected until at least 8am.
Greater Anglia tweeted: “Due to a fault with the signalling system between Stratford and London Liverpool Street trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.
“Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 08:00.”
This disruption is also affecting West Anglia services through Stratford into Liverpool Street, and services departing Liverpool Street.
Services are being diverted on to other lines, and tickets will be accepted on London Underground services and local bus routes.
